    Hi Folks,

Apologies if this has been asked here before loads of time but......

Where can I buy a small motorbike embossed (metal) plate in South Dublin or Kildare ?

    Price?

The type that you would also see on some used imported japanese cars

i.e. the small version of this type of plate -

They are based on the Long Mile Road.

You can't miss them. They have a big double height glass front with rows of bikes filling the window. Upstairs they sell the licence plates. They have samples of what they sell. Bikeworld don't actually make them in house so it takes about a week from when you order.

The Motorfactors "around the corner" and heading for Ballyfermot made me up numberplates for €10 in 5 minutes.

Southside Motorfactors. They are not the embossed metal ones and they are the normal motorbike square size - maybe a fraction smaller ;) .

If you are looking for a small rectangular one I don't know if they do it. But I have heard BW charge €40 for them so I gave them a miss.

B&Q for your standard plate, printed onto a sticker and mounted on tough plastic. It may not sound great, but it's actually very good, and only €10 too. Don't know where you'd get the metal plates, though.

I didnt know that B&Q do plates?

Sure you're not thinking of Halfords?
(who only do large bike plates)

Buggery! Yes, I meant Halfords. Well, they're right beside each other in Naas! It's easy to get mixed up. :D;)

I think you meant 'bugger'! ;)

Yeah, I saw the Halfords plates, but as I said they are too big for my needs.

    The search continues......

Try GT Grafix/Demon Plates in Rathmines. Check out their website http://www.gtgrafix.com/ - don't have a phone number for them but their address is Suite 102, 103-105 Lower Rathmines Road. They will make anything you want.
