I am wondering if anyone knows whether the DOW dividend yield method, whereby you sit on the five top yielders in the index for a year and revise every year thereafter, is suitable for the ISEQ index. Has anyone tried it?

I believe this is the so called "dogs of the dow" approach. There's no mechanical strategy that works 100% of the time, because if it did work everyone would be doing it. I'd recommend you spend at least a year working out gains and losses on paper before trying a strategy with real money :)
