    Hi,

I mostly play Paddy Power STT and was wondering if there is any good software. Im not interested in creating buddy lists, just want to sit at a table and get some relevant stats about the current players as the hands unfolds like how many pots they enter, how often they raise/re-raise, how often they fold to a raise etc etc

Also a great addition would be an auto pot odds calculator that can see your hands and the pot odds and work out what your pot odds are etc

All the good software seems to be for everwhere except Paddypower, do u know or use any???

for software you could use pokertracker to track your players, but these aren't great for STT's as everyone has to mix there game up at some stage of the STT. Still handy enough some times. For onscreen stats I'm not sure. I don't know if Poker Ace works for tribeca

you can also find out information on players from www.sharkscope.com, but unless you want to pay for it you can only get about 3/5 searches a day.

there are also other sites that are similar I'm sure people in here can shed some light

pokerace and GT+ both work on tribeca but am not sure with regards STT/MTT side of things, might only be for ring games.

This is true at present, but is due to change. Apparently Tribeca have made the necessary tweak to their hand histories which will allow PokerTracker to work with STTs/MTTs. This tweak is due to be included in the next Tribeca software update apparently:rolleyes: .

However this has not been confirmed by Tribeca (I read this in athe PokerTracker forum). I posted a question here a week or so ago for the Paddy power folk but got no reply.

If anyone from Paddy Power is reading this, will the necessary tweak be included in the next upgrade and, if so, when will this upgrade take place ?

    Dingle,
What advantages would PokerTracker be in STTs - I've never used these add-on gadgets (I like my poker bareback, I suppose :) ), and couldn't see myself bothering with it. However I'd be worried that not using it would be a disadvantage if everyone else in an STT was using it.

    Armani,

I play pretty much the same levels of STTs ($10-$25) and the same MTTs all of the time and continually see the same names popping up at my table, especially in the $25 STTs. My note taking is poor to say the least and I'm hoping that PokerTracker would give me some help in identifying other players styles and patterns.

If I thought it was helping me I may even invest in Mr Flibbles data mining app and really build up stats on the regular players.

I don't know how useful this is going to be yet, I gather PokerTracker is more useful for cash games but I guess anything that gives you an extra edge has got to be good. I need all the help I can get :)

    Cheers Dingle, thought as much.

    P.S.
I play mostly around the $20/$25 STT myself - don't recognise your name unless you are 'dingatron'.

I play under 'dingledaly' I play mainly during the day at the $10 level (at night I usually play MTTs).with occasional forays up to the $25 level though I'm playing more and more at $25 recently. Hopefully, bankroll permitting, I'll play mainly $25 in the future. See you at the tables...

www.sharkscope.com doesn't work on tribecca, unless they have changed it recently?

What about the site texascalculatem.com is this anygood or has anyone any feedback. From what i read it seems to be able to calculate pot odds and give stats on how strong your hand is eg if you have AA it might say your 75% after the flop but if there is a flush draw it tells you the percentage chance that someone has a flush etc

It seems to say that it collects the info automatically. Any feedback welcome

One of my freinds who is starting to play online poker uses this. It does exactly what you said but TBH you should know all this stuff in your head yourself. It basically just works out pot odds , Outs and hand strenght.

This site claims it can extract mucked hands from certain poker sites such as party poker, is this true, surely it cant be. This would be a hugely massive edge over any opponent especially heads up. Anyway it dosent have this feature for every site inlcuding PPP but although the website is lacking the features it has look pretty cool so ill try out the free trial and report back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,953 ✭✭✭dvdfan

This pokerspy seems very good, at a glance i can tell what players have been raising pre-flop and also with what hands they raised. I can see at a glance what players have been seeing flops regularly, whos raising regularly and also what hands they have been showing and who won the hand. Very very handy in the latter stages of a tourney when it gets serious. It shows this for the last 17 hands and there is alot more detail which i havent got into yet like hand analysis etc

It also seems to keep a buddy list of lots of players who ive played against and players who i havent played against. The only thing i can think of for this is that it goes into each players previous history and records the hands of players that my current opponents have previously played. It gives all the stats that you would usually see on poker tracker although not the detail about position and what are your biggest winning and losing hands.

Anyway the trial gives 200 hands free and i think its definetely good enough to buy so if anyone has any feedback about problems etc please let me know now.

Also can someone confirm wheter its true that it can show you mucked hands on sites like pokerstars, if so i will be playing at pokerstars from now on instead of Paddy Power poker (dosent support showing mucked hands on PPP yet) as this would be an absolutely massive advantage that your opponent wouldnt even realise you have. You can quickly spot the bluffers with a tool like this, but surely a program like this would be banned as it would be an unfair advantage???

That program looks great. By mucked hands could it mean losing hands at showdown? On some of the sites you can check what people had by checking the hand history, maybe it just gets those.
