The UK pays usualy the double what Ireland pays and I have several Irish and EU natiolals that left Ireland to go there

one Hungarian friend recent IT graduate offered max 23K euros in ireland and lots of work for 20K accepted job london starting 45k euros or 30plus k sterling and they threw in a 3 bedroomed house for hin in Essex

You want money for IT work go to UK or USA

I've contracted over in the UK for a good few years, and yes, it's very lucrative.

However, for shortish contracts I've had to stay in Travelodge-Hotel type accomodation (anywhere from £50 to £100 a night) as it's really difficult to get short-term rents on apartments in the UK South East. This can eat into your expenses, which are tax-deductable anyways.

The South East of the UK is pretty good money wise, although for permy jobs it gets lower the further north you go, although for a contractor the rates don't change an awful lot for short term stuff between the north and south.

With a CCNA and no experience? Is there much contracting work available? Can you give me an example of the type of work you would do for that kind of money?

What kind of money could you expect to be getting with CCNP or CCIE.
