This one kind of slipped under the radar, but it's from www.irishsportscouncil.ie. It's the first case from IMAC as far as I'm aware.
Issued on behalf of the Irish Martial Arts Commission and the Irish Sports Council.

    September 14, 2006.

The Irish Martial Arts Commission and the Irish Sports Council jointly announced that the Irish Sport Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel has determined that Carla Patton, an athlete affiliated to the Irish Martial Arts Commission, has committed an anti-doping rule violation.

The Panel found that, contrary to Article 2.4 of the Irish Anti-Doping Rules, Ms. Patton violated the applicable requirements regarding athlete availability for out-of-competition testing including failing to provide required whereabouts information.

Ms. Patton has been sanctioned, subject to her right to appeal within 14 days, by the imposition on her of a period of ineligibility of three months.

No, but she is the first from IMAC.

Maeve, I'm not sure, but being from IMAC I would imagine it's kickboxing.

    Hey Clive,

from what i can see of that it means she was not available for what was ( I assume ) a random testing and also had not advised that she would unavailable? or is it that they were trying to contact her and she was not replying?

Will she still be subject to a test now or will they just act on the fact that she was unavailable and act accordingly?

So, she didn't actually fail a test? She just skipped it? And skipping it equals failure. I wonder obviously if she missed it because she was doping or because she couldn't be arsed taking an irish martial arts council piss test.

Athletes nominated by their NGB for out-of-competition testing (generally elite level people) are required to provide the ISC with information of their whereabouts ie I live here, work here, train here Tuesday and Thurday, here on Saturday, and I'll be at a training camp in Siberia from 1st December for two weeks.

From my reading of it, she didn't provide this information, thus making it impossible to test her randomly.
