wire a phone jack

    anyone know how to wire a phone jack ?

    there are two wires coming out of the wall - Grey and white

    and four wires in the little box im screwing into the wall - black, red ,yellow and green,

    anyone know how this is wired ?

    As you look at the phone jack, all you need is the two inner wires so you can disregard the outer two. Simply wire your phone cable up to these two, it will work ethier way around i.e. if its black-red-yellow-green you can connect the white or grey to ethier red or yellow and it will work.

    IIRC, you connect the grey and white to the one's marked L1 and L2 - these are usually the inner ones as delly says above.
