Anyone any idea on the structure, numbers, standard etc for the 20e f/o??

Also, i'll be working in town till 9 so will probably be a bit late, only 15 mins or so, will i be grand buying in then or would i be better getting a mate to register for me?

One last question, does membership for collosus count as membership for jackpot or will i have to sign up again?

Cheers, see anyone who's playing there tommorow night.

Structure: €20 + €3 freezeout. 2,500 starting stack. First three levels 30 mins and 20 mins for each level after the break.

    Numbers: 25 - 40, depends

Standard: Mixture of the utterly clueless along with decent student players working off a lower budget.

Registration: Usually a couple of mins late starting. Get a friend to stick you down nonetheless.

Membership: Colossus membership gets you into the Jackpot. You must check in with Colossus before entering the card room across the street.

I will not play this tourney again under any circumstances. But that is just because I think I'm too good for it and much better than I actually am....:o

What lloyd said is correct, don't worry too much about being few minutes late, it always starts late and they let people in at level 1 so you shouldn't have a problem!
As for standard, if you know anything about poker then you should be better then fair few of them

If i have 2 diamonds in my hand and 3 clubs come on the board, thats a house of clubs right?? This poker thing is easy!

you are too kind malloy... also if everyone on this website could start calling lloyd 'malloy' that'd be great, for some reason it sends him on tilt.

The 20 jackpot game is the most student friendly game in dublin, and there's usually a handful of players who volunteer to deal for the table (like me) so its handy.

Watch out for DITTag though, he's trying to make it a hat-trick of wins in there!!

usually the pay out is fine, but from what i know there is usually SOME sort of deal done when it gets down to 3 players... usually.

Unless I am in final 3, then it's never even suggested.
