Hi excuse the stupidity of this question I have a PDA and was thinking about getting a PSP or DS lite with a DS WIFI Max Kit, so that if I could connect to the internet on my PC and use my ds lite or whatever to browse and play poker from the comfort of my own sitting room, is this possible as I'm too poor (or don't need one according to the missus) to buy a laptop.
Sorry I meant to post this on the poker thread but any help would be appreciated.

It depends on if the browser on the PSP or DS supports the software that the poker you are playing is running on. I don't know anything about browsing on the DS since the web browser isn't out yet but browsing on the PSP is slow, an absolute chore and just plain awful to use.

Yeh I doubt if you could run poker software on the DS, dunno about the PSP but I doubt it!

You can get cheap budget Pc's from Dell now before Vista ships (new windows).

You can also buy refurbished ones from Dell (there's a link hidden somewhere) so you should be able to pick one up for a very reasonable price.

I don't think what you want is possible on a handheld. You could ask around and PSP at least supports Flash.

If your PDA has bluetooth or WiFi then you should use it rather than waste your time and money tryin to use the DS or PSP to play online poker or browse the web.

I am pretty sure that the DS browser doesn't support Flash so that puts a lot of online gaming stuff out of the picture.

Would this be of any interest? Its a DS-game pack that apparently includes a Poker game. No reviews I can see yet but its really popular on play.
    42 all time classics.

i think browsing on the DS was reported as hella slow..

try Elara.ie for cheap laptops.. Also if you want a laptop id recommend waitin it out until you have the money for one..

I love my DS but my laptop rules all , until the Wii finally arrives!!

Most online poker systems are applications that have to be installed so I can't see how it could work on a DS or PSP as these programs are obviously coded for Windows.

If its only net/email/poker you want to play then you'll pick up a laptop for **** all in plenty of places. Not least adverts.ie.
