i just signed up with play.com and ordered a t-shirt from them for €14.99, however i checked my credit card statement straight away on the banks website and it said i had been charged €1.48 (£1) by play.com

it seems like a mistake so what i would like to ask is has enyone else been undercharged by them or is the €1.48 (£1) charge some sort of offer for joining.

if it is then i will post it on bargain alerts.

ps. i hope this is the right thread

It might be some sort of verification method they used for your credit card and might just drop off over the next few days.

A small charge that they made to verify the CC. Something like paypal do.
