See here. I'm considering going for it as it seems a good deal. I presume it's landlines only though. I can't find terms & conditions anywhere on their site though...

    Any opinions?

Have you considered voipcheap.com unkel? It will cost you €46.40 p.a. for unlimited calls to UK, Ireland and about 50 more countries! (€11.60 every 3 months) They also have very good rates to mobiles (e.g. Irish Mobiles 9c/min) your €46.40 can be used for those mobile calls so your are effectively getting all that blueface can offer you plus more countries plus 500+ mins to Irish mobiles! Hard to beat IMO.

Pretty impressive pricing, but I need to keep my geo number. Blueface has worked well for me after a bumpy start so unless I get the same comfort (as in the DECT cordless phones work exactly like when I still had a phone line coming into the house), I plan to stay with them

Not quite. You only get 5 hours a week of free calls.

    (And it's €11.60 every 4 months!)

Voipcheap had only 90 days credit limit whereas voipstunt, buster etc. had 120 days. However now that I checked the site they now state:

Buying credit entitles you to 90 Freedays (unless stated otherwise). This means you can call all countries marked as "Free" in our rates list for a period of 90 days at no costs. When the 90 days are over, the normal rate will be charged for these destinations. You can get more Freedays by topping up your account with credit.

    See also this: http://www.voicetrading.com/en/rates.html

Unkel - Seems like you are best off staying with Blueface as you won't be able to port your number to Voipcheap.

That's odd. When you go to the site, the Splash screen says:
And it gets even better: From now on buying credit entitles you to 120 "Freedays". This means you can call, for a period of 120 days (unless stated otherwise), all destinations marked as "Free" for free!

It looks like they added the same Splash Screen to each of their sites, but forgot to tweak it for VoIPCheap.

Indeed. Happy days anyway. Like yourself, I'm saving a fortune on international calls :)

I can never understand why companies are allowed to advertise as unlimited where it's clearly not unlimited.....*

btw - I use freespeech who give a geographic 01 number and plenty of free national and international calls every day, credit does not expire and since July I've spent about 15 euro - I find that hard to beat.

As alot of people here have said viopcheap are very good value. But be carefull regarding their call charges to irish mobiles. Anytime I check they always say 9-10c during the weekend but when the voice promt comes on before your call it says 15c. While not the end of the world stuff it is worth your while keeping the voice promt before every call so you know what your getting charge as you have an option to switch it off

    Regards
