I completely forgot that today is my friends birthday. He just called me to say he's going for a few pints tonight and I acted like I hadn't forgotten his bday and even went so far as to say I'd gotten him a small present...

Now I've to go to town after work to get him something but I'm broke an can only afford to spend about €20 - €30 quid....any ideas??? I don't wanna get him a CD cause that's just lame...

Can anyone think of anything cheapish but unusual....

    Sea Monkeys are always cool.

You should be able to pick up a set for about €12.

Go into Urban Outfitters in Temple Bar if you in Dublin.
They have lots of quirky and weird stuff you can get for that price.

Or you could visit Tambuli, the tribal arts store in Temple bar at the side of Club M. I got a lot of weird and wonderful presents for people in there.

Agreed. I've often picked up a fairly unique last minute present there that wasn't too pricey.

Great idea, especially with winter sneaking up on us. He's into football so I'll see if I can find him a pair of big fitba slippers...thanks guys!!

If he smokes you could get him a zippo for that much. Could even get his name put on it for an extra 5 squid.

Or a Virgin voucher. Tell him its good just 'one' time before you hand it 2 him :D.
