Updated the first page of my flickr with 17 new shots of Dublin .
Am i getting any better with my new camera or worse (possibly !) ?
Had problems saving the edits i did on picasa , so once again the photos have not being edited , i.e. straight off the camera - any feedback welcome.
    Thanks.

Nice work there baz! everyone gets a nice one every now and again, but this is a nice set. They look so much better bigger.

If it's c&c you want though, the shot of bewleys lets the set down a little. It needs something of interested, possible a little further back, portrait, include folks going in or out?

    Nice wortk there Baz.

A really nice collection .............. all the more impressive because they are straight off the camera with no work done on them!

    Really like them.

I think they are pretty good too - I liked the fire festival ones as you dont often get to see dublin looking like that. The one called Dublin Cloud fest stands out too - I think mostly because the buildings are not in a straight line due to the kink in the river and the angle it was taken at. It makes it more interesting visually imo.

Very nice shots overall , would be proud to take shots like that myself , some C + C though ,

First the night shots , did you take these with a preset picture mode on the camera or did you set the exposure yourself , if you set it yourself then the shutter could have been left open a little more , say maybe 1/2 second longer to take in more of the lights of the city and more of the details of the fire festival.
Were these taken using a fireworks mode by any chance ?

Second , and this is minor , but I'll say it anyway seeing as you requested C+C , a lot of your shots have a very slight tilt from left to right , seems to me that you tend to lean that way on most shots.
1 or 2 degrees straightening in PS would sort it though.

Anyway , very good stuff , keep shooting.

Thanks, as i'm new to using an slr , i only used the auto setting for now, and did not use a tripod for shooting at night, after my experience last night , with camera falling after tripod collapsed, i'll be slow to use tripod again :D

I dont know what it is about getting it straight , dont know whether its my eyesight or getting used to using viewfinder after being used to lcd layout, but i find shooting straight difficult.
    Thanks again.
