So I watched the first 3 eps of Simpsons Season 18...

    and all I can say is ..... *sigh*

    The only funny bit in all 3 eps was the "it fell off the back of a truck truck truck" sight gag.

    That White Stripes bit was just lame because of not being on the pulse anymore. South Park would have had that on the air in a week. The Simpsons take 2 years!

    I thought therew where funny bits in the 1st 2 but they whhere not great also im not much into that music shight but i enjoyed the 3rd episode im going to hold off watching the 4th episode till im in amsterdam on thursday so ill post a poll or something on the episode then and see what the majority think of it cause its not great buts is a LOT better than season 17

    Lets face The Simpsons jumped the shark years ago, they should have stopped making new ones around season 10.

    But I suppose that when they are constantly making money (I really don't know how) they will continue to put out drivel like this.

    The jokes/snappy writing stopped around season 8 or 9, IMO.

    Agreed that the first two episodes were dire but I thought that the third episode was good enough. Sure, it wasn't on a par with the classics of the mid Nineties but it was solid, the main storyline (Marge and Homer's carpentry business) had some good scenes.

    Maybe I'm going crazy in my old age.
