Garmin about to start supporting Mac

    A little birdie in Garmin told me the Mac version of their software should be out either late this year or early next, so you'll be able to download maps onto your Nuvi from a Mac. If anyone feels like writing eagerly to them to enquire, feel free.

    Not bad, it only took 10 years...

    Are there any really decent maps for Ireland available now? Last time I used one of these, the maps were crap, OSI didn't have and DEMs for sale and I had to haul around a load of tubes full of paper.

    The version 9 software will integrate NavTeq's complete satellite map of Ireland. Due out Dec/Jan.
