Aldi 15" tevion lcd??

    Hi has anyone seen this offer in aldi for €219?
    Is it a good one?
    Has anyone even got it yet although I think it mightnt be out till next week?

    My mother wants to get it for her kitchen and asked me was it a good one but im no expert!!!!

    Black thing/strip on the bottom would annoy me.

    I suspect buying a 15" LCD and asking peeps for advice is a bit like ringing up Top Gear and asking about buying a Ford Escort ...... they don't want to talk to you .... :(

    now if it was a 30" or 40" LCD or a 5 ltr sports car ....that would be a different matter :)

    I've asked the same LCD question over the past 2 or 3 days and got nothing in reply so have come to the following conclusion .....

    the price seems to be around a 100.00 euros less that most 15" LCD's available in other stores ....

    It comes with a 3 year warranty ....

    ALDI has over 5,000 stores across Europe so if they were selling junk it would sure be a big pile to be returned under warranty ....

    so ...... $$$$$$$$ it ..... buy the $$$$$$$$ thing .... I think I will .... :D

    Any electronics stuff I've bought in aldi has been very satisfactory.
    The 19" flat monitor I'm looking at right now, the hard drive, the video capture card, etc etc
    The Divx DVD player.
    They all cost swet****all in fairness, so I would say yes.

    The real question is, why would you buy a 15" TV?
    I bought a 32" widescreen for that money 2 years ago. Granted it wasn't flat screeen.
    I don't think paying for a small tv to be even smaller is the way go.

    I need a replacement for a Kitchen telly and 15" simply fits in without taking over the place ..... :)

    I see what you mean about the black thing at the bottom but none the less looks like a good buy
