Wii internet channel ( here ) could make TV browsing a reality ... although without a keyboard it's kinda pointless ( how would you enter your gmail credentails .. enter your city in a weather map etc )

Maybe there will be a keyboard add on?

Don't see why not, they had one for the GC (for PSO, although I don't think it was seen outside of Japan...).

They will have an onscreen keyboard I'm sure and then some third party will probably make an add on aswell.

At least it'll have Flash which will make it useful.

it'll have an onscreen keyboard that you point the wii remote at and press the buton to select the letters. Point and click if you will. How the hell did you think youd enter web addresses never mind fill in text boxes!

Can't see it being too useful. Please remember that standard-defenition PAL TV has an equivalent digital resolution of about 600x576, *and* about 10% of the picture is overscanned (i.e. you don't see it) - compare this to a modern PC setup which usually uses at least 1024x768 if not higher - and this is what websites are designed for!

Advantage of working with Opera who are used to dealing with these kinds of issues on non-standard devices.

The Wii browser displays the entire page and you highlight the area you wish to zoom in on for clear viewing from you sofa. We don't know how well it'll work but Opera for DS works well.

Hi on a related issue excuse the stupidity of this question if I bought a ds lite and one of these:Nintendo DS WIFI Max Kit, could I connect to the internet and use my ds lite to browse and play poker from the comfort of my own sitting room?

You probably won't be able to play poker as online poker games most certainly will use Flash and/or Java applets which the DS browser does not support.
