    I'm not sure if next of kin carries over in Irish law. As a hypothetical example, if I was to make a will and all my kin passed on, I wouldn't want my sisters kids who I have possibly never met claiming everything. If it was to go to court I think there'd be a huge ethical and moral debate on it, probably go on for ages.
