Cant iport music to edit

    Hi,
    would like to edit some songs. However my music editing sodtware will not let me open any music that is on my ibook. It seems that the only package that plays the music is iTunes. Help!!!

    What do you mean by edit exactly ? What software are you using to "edit" the music ?

    Some software like Peak 3 for example could not import .mp3 files so they need to be converted to .aiff before importing them.
    Quicktime Pro can do this for you.

    Also you could try Audacity which will import pretty much anything plus it's a good editor aswell. Oh and it's free too !!
