    Hi

I've 2k to spend on a lovely new tv. Could anyone recommend a good value one?

I'm hoping to get a 42 inch one but if the 2k would be better spent on a quality 32" or 37" one I'd go for that too.

Please help - I'm at a complete loss at what to pick and I don't want to end up with the proverbial turkey!!

My current LCD is a Philips 42pf5421. Looks good and I'm very happy with the price. Currently selling for €2,000, altough I got mine for €1,500 ;).

How did you get it for that price and where did you get it?

Got it in DID who I would highly recommend. There was a bit of a price war on between them and Power City/Currys/Harvey Norman. I had initially both it for €2,000 the week before but they honoured the new price and I got €500 back. Its back to €2,000 as stock is limited, but the price might go down again.

Another vote for that telly! It's great, yeah it's 2K but it's well spent. Warning!! If you want to mount it on the wall, it does not come with a bracket. .... another 140 euro ;)
