Finally diving in and making the purchase of a 360, but i'm stuck deciding which game to get. I was thinking either oblivion or dead rising, but saints row is a contender too!

I'm not a fan of racing or sports games so that rules out fifa and PGR.

    Anyone any recommendations?

Alot of places are doing a deal with Xbox 360 + Saints Row for €450 (€40 for the game). I couldn't find any deals with Dead Rising and paid €70 for it in Virgin, every where online has it for €60 ¬_¬. Oblivion is excelent but its starting to get old at this stage so I'd look for a preowned copy or a price drop.

Also there is a deal with Xbox360 prem + controller + PGR3 for €440 so even if you don't intend on playing PGR3 its a cheap way of getting a second wireless controller.

I'd agree with that, if you can get a deal with Saints Row get that and Dead Rising seperately. Oblivion is cheap secondhand now, just find someone on adverts.ie or ebay with it later on at some point when you're bored with those two games.

Game seem to be doing a good deal with the premium. €410 for the console and your choice from a range of 8 games for €30 each. games include prey, saints row and ghost recon. I think that'll be the deal i'll go for. not really interested in a second control pad, i've bought a second pad for every other console i've bought and never really used them.

i'll check smyths too but that deal seems good to me

That sounds alright. I think GRAW is worth getting (unless you already played it on PC), I liked the single player and it's good online.

COD2 is a must. It's great offline and on.

    Also,

I've got Oblivion for sale if you're interested for €40.

oblivion is awesome game and shows off the beauty of the 360 but will suck u in and take over your life. Dead rising is the zombie game you always wanted 2 play and it has more deept than i taught it actually could have. Shows off true ability of 360 and nothing better than taken out a sledge hammer and punding a zombie 2 pieces. go dead rising and as everyone has already said oblivion pre owed is in plenty supply

Have oblivion, it's good but I'm not enjoying it as much as most other people seem to. It's worth the small amount you'd pay for it though, lot's of playing time. You can get it on play.com now for about €45 brand new with free delivery I think. Shop around and you might even find it cheaper.

Also have saints row. A nice little game if you like blowing things up. The explosions look great and the game feels really good to play. You can order a region free copy for about €34 delivered from www.play-asia.com, although it'll take about 2 weeks to be delivered. It's probably out of stock as well.
