The poll to end all polls!

So, I finally got my finger out and did it (you can tell by the time on this post that it's because of insomnia), but I created a poll that covers all 33 episodes from season 1 and season 2 with a summary and screenshot from each episode (courtesy of www.battlestarwiki.org .... thank you battlestar wiki).

    BEFORE YOU VOTE:
You give each episode a mark out of ten from the dropdown.

You can only see the results by voting (I will create a script tomorrow to allow you to see the results without voting, edit: done).

You can vote more than once, but if you do, I will know it (logging on unreal.ie is extreme, and IP checks by mods on boards.ie are merely a question of asking) so don't be an asshole, and just vote once.

After you vote, the average of previous votes is visible beside your vote.

If you're going to vote, please vote on every episode. If you haven't seen all of season one and season two then please do not vote.

It looks ugly. I don't care. It's 3.42 am for the love of the gods.

    That is all.

    vote!

edit: Thank you to unreal.ie for hosting. <3

Suberb job, Khannie and obviously a LOT of work. Way to go!

PS some of my votes were a wee bit random cause its been a while since I've seen these eps.

    Voted. Nice job Khannie. :)

Anyway, does anyone else think - and I know every series and episode has a certain amount of filler material - that the episode "Scar" was completely and utterly pointless and seemed to solely project itself as "I am filler"? Most episodes give rise to something of consequence or reveal something important to the series as a whole. Scar was almost like a self contained, self resolving episode - couldn't stand it!

Eh, no. Could be wrong but isn't part of Scar the beginning of a story arc following Starbuck's downward spiral into depression or something.

Thats some nice work Khannie, will do some voting at lunchtime :)

    EDIT: Done.

    Nice work Khannie.

I may be stupid but you vote 1 for your favourite etc. Isn't it?

Nah, you give each episode a mark out of ten. :) It wasn't clear though, so I've edited the original post. Cheers. (Edit: If you did do a "top ten" kind of vote, let me know and I'll adjust the averages upwards accordingly, as not choosing gives the episode in question a 0 out of 10  ).

Thanks for all the praise. Insomnia = productivity. :D You wouldn't believe the amount of crap I've gotten done in the last few days.

I ballsed that up big time anyway. Insomnia may mean productivity but hangovers lead to stupidity.

Well, yeah. I can do it again and actually do it properly....

Or I could just back away now so I don't break anything else :D

I'd have to say that I enjoyed Scar as well.

A 'filler' episode (particularly of the trek variety) is one that is thrown in that does little to advance the story or the characters.

I thought Scar revealed alot about the mentality and mental condition of the besieged and stressed pilot core. It was an episode which looked at the toll of being constantly in combat. That outside the adrenalin rush, the constant fear and aggression of combat bears a heavy psychological price. It showed Starbuck finally taking some responsibility and becoming an officer, more than just a hotshot glory hog.

You also get an insight into the raider mindset. The cold rage at having being killed again and again and again.

It also had the coolest fx I've seen in the series and the dogfights were superbly done.

    Yeah, what quad said. :D

I enjoyed scar. It did advance the characters, but not the plot. Overall though, I scored it an 8 (iirc).

Quad: I'd say vote away, but do it twice (to try to counterbalance your original vote....just scroll to the bottom and hit vote the 2nd time).

I agree,I thought Scar was an annoying disjointed episode.
It seemed like something tacked on .It was by far the worst episode of the second half of series 2.
Only 1 week to go and then the waiting is over.:D
