Free minutes/texts while roaming with o2

Wonder if anyone can answer this, the people on the o2 shop haven't a clue... I'm considering going bill pay but will be going abroad for a few months. I know the free minutes/texts will not apply while I'm roaming, my question is, will they carry over? When I return home will I have X months worth of free minutes/texts…

Which o2 store were you in?

Unused monthly minutes and texts roll over for 1 month on o2.
