Hmnn seems I now have a new position in work. I lived about a 5min walk from work where I'm an assistant manager, now their moving me to the company's offices which are about a 1min walk away from where I live. I'll be expanding on the purchasing role I was already doing in the store.

But a 1 minute walk from work. Nifty!

It's nifty until you try and blag a day off for being sick and they see you walking past the window.

True for most, but I'm a really sad blaxtard and in four and a half years I've never taken one sick day- ever.

I used to live about 30 paces from work so a phoney sick day could have been awkward. In saying that, I'm almost embarassed to admit that I've only taken 2 days in 18 years. :o

I have taken 6 sick days this year so far.

Civil servants get 10 offical sick days - happy days for them.
