    HI Guy's

Was doing a bit of work for a mate and he was having some issues with his outlook 2000, the error mainly occurs when replying to emails from a particuliar firend of his.
The error message he gets is similar to the below: (can fully rem the exact error message)

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. Server response: '550';(Account: '*****', SMTP server: mail.******.ie, Error number: 0x800ccc79).

i have done a bit of googling on this and i have disabled and re-enabled the ssl option in the account settings

the mate is able to send emails to this person fine when they go create a new one but not when they hit reply to one they recieved from them!

it has me a bit puzzled as to whats going on with it all!

    Any help would be appreciated

    Tommy

In the Tools->Accounts->Mail->Properties options, find where the servers tab is located and tick the box "My outgoing service requires authentication". Make sure the Settings for that are set on "Use the same settings my incoming mail server".

what is really baffling me is that he can send the message to people when she creates a new email and that he can send messages from this account to other accounts without any issue.

for example i got him to mail me a ping and tracert from his pc to my gmail account and there was no issue! mmm maybe there is something up on the mail server or the adddress in the contact book? is that possible?
