    Hey Dolittle....

i use a Divx Convertor .... basically i convert my avi's to divx format and of course use the High Definition option for maximum quality output..Conversion time is usually around 40mins for around 700/850 megs.....you can then inturn burn the new divx file using Divx Convertor or of course Nero which ever u find best.... hopefully this is helpful to ya ! ;)

What exactly is the problem Nero Vision throws up ?

Is this an MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 video in the avi container ?

Also ConvertXToDVD is one of the best apps for this, I would recommend testing the demo version.

    Hey ,

Nero 7 is the best thing ive ever used for converting avi to dvd, its easy to make a fairly nice menu quite easily too. You wouldnt want to need your pc for a hour or two cause when its converting the rest of computer will be VERY slow!
