The Ireland vs GB heads up rematch takes place this weekend in sunny Scarborough, UK.

Unfortunately due to some last minute venue problems there wa no time to run any online qualifiers. The original venue was to be Ballantynes Casino in Newcastle but the owners decided to sell the building at the last minute prompting a rush to find a replacement.

The format is the same as last time in Dublin and each team consists of 11 players each playing one match. There will be 3 specialist matches, omaha, omaha hi/lo and 7 card stud.

    The Irish team is:

    Micky McCloskey
    Dave Callaghan
    Eoin Olin
    Dave Masters
    Damien Kavanagh
    Thomas Nolan
    Dave Kingston
    Colette Murphy
    Rob Taylor
    Niall O'Callaghan
    Mike Lacey

Each player is putting up the £200 entry fee, they get £250 if they win their match and the winning team gets £550. The rest of the money goes to Poker4charity & 1percentpledge. The cost of flights and accommadation is being covered by Green Joker Poker. Live updates will be on Antes Up, connection permitting.

This event will be followed in October by a four nations championship in Dublin between Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. Online qualifiers will be held for the team for this.

Marq couldn't play due to work. Dave is playing the Omaha, Dave Kingston the O/8 and the stud will be sorted out over there.

    Best of luck guys.
I'm very disappointed that I can't play this, but I'd asked for more hours this week and can't really turn around and ask for the weekend off at this stage.

The team looks very strong, hopefully we get a bit more luck than we did last time.

There has been a slight change in the team, Thomas Nolan can'y play anymore so Len Collin is taking his place. And he knows hot to play stud :)
