    I'm new to this forum and am gonna introduce myself by way of seeking some advice.

    My friend wants to buy a decent quality amateur digital cam. Just for photos of parties, nights out etc... nothing fancy.

    She's thinking of the SANYO Xacti E6. I haven't heard of this one myself but it looks decent enough. Big screen, compact, 6 megapixel resolution. It's going for around €170 on pixmania.com.

    What are people's opinions on this cam (if any) or could someone recommend a better quality for similar price or cheaper?
