18v dc power supply

    Hi guys, i know this is probably the wrong place please move as you see fit MODS.

    I need an 18volt dc power supply, it can be an american or european one, does anyone know where i could get one.

    I got home from the states recently and got a nice bit of hardware over ther but my sister plugged in my IPOD dock using my 18vdc power supply i brought back and fried it, Smoke started coming out of the thing, it was kinda cool.


    But anyway, now i have no power supply for my IPod dock or my hardware.

    The Power supply was an 18 volt dc power supply which i had an adapter to change the wattage so it was grand but my sister just plugged it in using a regular american to european adapter and it fried.

    Any ideas lads

    THIS one from Maplin may do the job...you would need to check amps needed by your mystery 'nice bit of hardware' ;)

    They have other similar ones too.
