ill probably get some BBs soon enough unfourtunatley ehobby charge something like $10 shipping per bag. Shotgun AEG Hicap might interest you too.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

Would that be combined shipping? .hmm that Shoty mag looks usefull but i prefer the look of the shoty without a mag ;) and + i intend 2 get a mac11 as a tertiary weapon lol :D
Im just Emailing Ehobby now 2 see what they would charge for shipping a scope, rings and 2-3 bags of BB's

so far ive spent €150 on a UTG sniper with a scope and €150 on the mac..plus an extra €42 for 6000 bbs, silicone oil and a can of green gas. i'm still far off skirmish ready. still need to pick up some decent BDU's, maybe some webbing and figure out some kind of mac friendly holster. i found one that held it perfectly, although you have to take out the mag.
plus i also need some decent boots! ah. must, get, job.

i also really want one of these

    good point.
however, $33 is £17. somehow i dont think VAT is going to add on another £23

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 960 ✭✭✭Harekin

Ok so shipping from the states plus 21%. I dont know what the shipping is but from Wolf Armouries for on your doorstep next day service its €30.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

that $33 from Ehobby includes vat.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 960 ✭✭✭Harekin

Yeah in the States, you have to pay VAT on it too when it gets back to here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 747 ✭✭✭EyesOnly

thought you didnt have to duty/vat on anything less than €40 ???

€30 is fine for big items, thats how much i paid on postage for the last gun i ordered from them. (took about a week to deliver) but for smaller items, especially consumables, its too expensive. fire-support.co.uk seems to have a much more reasonable postage cost for such things. what would have cost £72.00 on wolf ended up costing me around the £50 mark on fire support.
in saying that, i think i'll stick with wolf for my main weapon purchases. they seem like a good bunch

According to all the reading Iv been doing you have to pay VAT on everything that comes into the country. Thirty quid for next day delivery is nothing, it really is.

All Parcel Force UK and Northern Ireland deliveries are sent next working day if you whish to have 48 hour (2 working days delivery) delivery please specify this in the comments box which you will get when proceeding with an order.

i think you misread the delivery time. i paid the €30 postage. took about a week to deliver

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

    god i h8 delivery costs :( ive got 2 guns and a 2 bb's left[allready fired]
my sniper rifle is gimped with no sight or scope off any sort and im desperately trying 2 find the best deal i can but high delivery costs seem to unavoidable
*sigh* If only they could strap my tiny parcel to a well trained pigeon or something and fly it over 4 free

What sort of scope and rings are you talking about, and how much are they costing you?
Would it be feasible to go to a regular gun shop here in Ireland and pick up a cheap scope and rings there?
I've no idea what sort of mounts are on your rifle, so perhaps this is utterly impractical.

    .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

its a tasco 3-9*40 scope with 1" rings
    that being $38 without delivery.
Its a great price considering the scope i had 2 get for my airrifle was close 2 100e  ,but i didnt have much of a choice back then.
just going 2 go ahead and order it now.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

    Just made my order their.

    Tasco 3-9*40 scope $37
    scope rings 3$
    bag of 800 SIIS BB's $9
bag of TM 0.2 BBs $11
    speedloader $1
and a spare vsr mag $8.50
    and delivery was 48$

so thats a total of e93
Well atleast il finaly be able 2 use my rifle when it arrives.

Just ordered my first gun from Wolf Armouries.
A Marui G3SG1, battery, charger, hi-cap mag, silicone spray and 3000 bbs all in for €476 inc delivery.
It is currently in London in a depot waiting to be sent over here so I can't wait. Hopefully it will arrive by Wednesday. Will post some pics when it arrives if anyone is interested.
I will need to get a Claw mount, scope and weaver mounts to make the whole lot look complete but it should all be worth it. Found some decent looking scopes on e-Bay last night for about €60 including mounts so I will definately plumb for that once the gun arrives.

ah a G3SG1! think that will be my next purchase. i've wanted one from the beginning but seemed to end up with two other guns first (?)
probabaly end up going with wolf myself. although i'm still going to have a little bit more of a lookaround other sites for prices just in case.
i was finding it hard to decide between the Marui and the Classic army version.
both seem to be getting really good reviews

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,319 ✭✭✭Miscreant

Yeah. I was looking around for the right gun for a while and settled on the G3SG1 cos I had read some really good reviews of it. Getting a bit worried now though because I had just spotted on the "I hate customs" thread that 2 weapons have been impounded so I hope there has not been a change in the law or the thinking of customs on letting these into the country. I will keep you posted for when I get mine.

well i wouldnt be so much worried about the take down[no experience their] as the preformance as it is a gun i would be considering advising cheap friends to buy. I assume the 74 is the better performer then?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 747 ✭✭✭EyesOnly

yeah alot better about 300-320 (coke can test) and accurate at 30+meters or so, id advise getting a new mag my high cap keeps unwinding @ less than half full :/

Id recommend the-outdoors.co.uk only problem i had was, they rang me asking for a post code and was trying to explain their is no postcodes here and she wouldnt take it (my dad took the call , i was at work) so he hung up. i got an email that night asking for a postcode so i had to tell them the same thing they sent it the next day tho (friday the 13th) and got it wednesday(yestarday).

Mind you it was £45 postage, they have another site that sells bulk/wholesale (10 sets etc..) but you have to spend over £250, Might do for a team/site if one is set up.

    Forgot link :/http://www.fieldtextiles.co.uk/
