Abuse at a table? SE Sat night.

final 2 tables in SE last night and there is a lady sitting at the table with about 15k chips - just a little above avg. anyway blinds are 800/1500 and she is on the big blind. flp comes Q 6 5 - 2 players and her opponent (also c.15k stack) bets 3k... she deliberates and calls. turn brings another rag - a 9d i think it was - opponent bets 2500 - she deliberates and calls. River brings another 6 - opponent bets 2500 again, she deliberates for about 30 secs and says call.

now before she declares her holding ur man who was doing the betting bursts into a tirade of abuse and says "ffs woman do you not know how to lay down ur f'in hand" - as it turns out he has nowt and she has a 5 to win the hand. Anyway he continues "thats f'in terible play".... personally i thought this comment was rich considering his betting patterns and also considering he was all in 20mins previously, split the pot and was walking away in disgust not recognising that he had split it only to be summoned back to his seat?!

when another player intervenes to defend lady and ask that said individual show some respect and apologise he then starts to abuse this other player..

Isnt it just terrible to see that there are such scumbags out there playing poker? This behaviour disgusts me - I really hope this individual reads this and examines his conduct at a table and also realises how much of a scumbag he is - imo he must have been dragged up rather than brought up. terrible poor show imo.

This seems to be standard behaviour in the SE and one of the reasons I stopped playing there.

This is pretty appauling. The guy in question should be admonished in a situation like this IMO.

I presume and hope the dealer stepped in and took control of the situation. If not, then other players jumping to assistance is understandable. Personally, if this guy was the idiot he sounds, I'd have the TD over and recount the whole exchange verbatim for all the room to hear. He'd shut it quick enough then.

Sounds like he was more tilted than the leaning tower of Pisa after that. I'd give him a further push by saying "nice call" to the lady. :)

Well it was a great call !!!!

TD should be in like a shot and this player barred. Poker can do without his type.

Yup, kick him out. I've ejected a few players and you should see the looks on their faces when they realise you CAN and ARE removing their chips from play. Losing one player is not good for business but losing a half dozen players just to keep him is lunacy.

The funny thing is the few idiots who do act like this in the SE also play in the Fitz and wouldn't dream of acting like this there as they are well aware that luke nor any of the dealers would put up with it.

I do not believe the offender to be a SE regular, tho do recall him being there before.

Dealer did not interject when tirade began.

TD came to table and dealer confirmed that there was no problem.

It was a regretable incident to say the least.

Did people (like yourself) not inform the TD when he came over that there was indeed a problem?
Im sure this lady was hoping for a bit of back-up.If the players at the table made their feelings known to the TD, surely he would have taken action.

I wonder how long will it be before that lady makes another appearance at a live poker table?
People that act like this gent turn my stomach.

Poor dealer imo. If he/she did not want to tackle the abuser head on they should have made the td aware of the facts. I know that if I was at the table, I would have made a lot of noise. Abuser is an idiot and should be told this in no uncertain terms!! I hope someone cleaned the ahole out at the cash table later!!!!!
