    A few i fancy today though not much time to explain.

    Firstly the admirable Young Mick in the 2.45 Ascot. Probably one of the most consistent horses this year. Has improved with every run. Hes the only Course Distance winner in the race and i can see him going in again.

    Peppertree Lane in the 3.15. Another who has been in tremendous form of late. Will love the going there as hes proven many times. Always runs well when the muds flying.

    Waltons Mountain in the 5.15 Listowel. Very unlucky loser lto when falling at the last. Bothar Na was the fortunate winner. Has since won the Kerry National so the form of that race looks the best on offer. Currently 9/4 think he has the beating of Adament Approach who going over fences for the first time since Nov '04 and top weight Strong Project who has 11/12 on his back compared to 10/5 for Waltons Mountain.

    The last time Young Mick and Glistening came head to head ( a month ago at York ) here is what I had to say on the matter:

    2.50 Young Mick && Glistening
    So, after watching Young Mick beat Glistening twice my thinking was that to beat Young Mick Glistening needs an extra furlong and it gets it today. Also, they are alot closer on the weights which weighs in Glistening's favour - however, the downside of all of this is that Glistening is untested over this going so only god (and possibly the trainer ) knows how Glistening will handle it today. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Young Mick and have been following it for a long long time, but watching it defeat Glistening it was obvious that Glistening needed an extra furlong. This is the race of the York festival for me, and providing Glistening can take to the ground then these two should be the two battling it out. My heart says I want Young Mick to win, my head says Glistening so I'm going to dutch on both of them.

    Taking Mudawin out of the equation, it went to plan. Todays race is 2f shorter than York, and because of this Young Mick gets the vote.

    Carthalawn should go well in the 4.40 at Listowel. Leaving out its bad performance in a listed race a few runs ago, the form is solid and anything less than a win would be disappointing.

    Adamant Approach 5.15 Listowel I've tipped this horse about a gazillion times on here. Should go close.

    Kerryhead Windfarm's superb second place to Asian Maze in the stayers hurdle cannot be forgotten. The gorgeous and talented Nina takes the mount today :p Going hasn't been too much of an issue for it, although I would say that it favours firm ground. A repeat performance of the stayers' hurdle should see it win.
