I'm planning on upgrading a socket 939 motherboard with processor and ram, its been running very well I just want to keep it all up to date. Should I stick with AMD or go for Core 2 Duo?

well i think there is no need to update unless your A Score geek.

if u were upgrading go for a E6600 and a asus board.

can I ask what CPU do you have atm? Why not just upgrade your s939 to a really good dual core. With all this rush to get core2's people are selling there old optys and X2's for silly prices on ebay. If you keep an eye on the auctions you can get some really good deals. The benefit of ebay as well is that you can usually ask them what the stepping is so as to gauge what kindof overclock to expect.
