pfft bebo, i doubt it's at your end, a few people had trouble getting onto bebo earlier at work here (net cafe)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,396 ✭✭✭✭Karoma

    BEBO's down.
It's after 10pm on a Friday: all the skids are boasting about how 'durnk dey is' = server overload = explosion = new war. Simple, really.

    Yes.
It'll be back when hell freezes over.

    Respectfully,

is that not a little harsh mods, i work mad hours and its good for keeping in touch with mates cause they usually sleep when i work

i think most people think the idea of bebo is a good one, but the way people use it ie. "jaysus jacinta i gt so lckd lst nite, it waz unreal", is why people hate it so much.

although everyone on bebo isn't like this and people are just tarring everyone with the same brush.

thanks cremo, like i said i use it to keep in touch with mates who work the oposite side of the clock to me, im not one of those ballybrack nackers who brags about how locked they were in nemo's last nite, the mods should shouldnt stereotype

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,396 ✭✭✭✭Karoma

    ..the mods should shouldnt stereotype
    I'm confused even more now.
I had previously considered BEBO users below average in the intelligence stakes, and ranging between illiterate and semi-literate but now... I don't know what to make of the whole thing. MAYBE I WAS WRONG!!!!eleventy!! JAYZ JACINTA!!!

    * Registers an account on BEBO to "keep it real" (The other stereotype. BEBO is cool : It has black people on it.)

Mods? I think you might be a wee bit confused there. If you think that some of the moderators here have something to do with Bebo, you are mistaken. :)

    probably server overload...

I think boards.ie are just jealous because bebo is far more popular and is generally all-round more fun!
Also the fact you don't get banned at the drop of a hat on bebo for making a "useless" remark is also a plus!
i'm banned from so many things on boards its not even funny, guess i shouldn't be a smartass as much, but blah that me i guess :P feel a banning coming on after this post :D
Pity boards lost its for sale section and the is radio silence about *** events!

i never said the mods were anything to do with bebo.
the post from the mod where he/she says that they assumed all members of bebo were illiterate or semi illiterate is very insulting as it looks as though the post was directed at me.
    clarification would be appreciated

i think the mods were a bit harsh in their remarks to the reply i had posted in regards to the fact that my post was quoted by them

no, this is not a bebo issue now, i was insulted and called illiterate by the moderators here.
    i want clarification on this

    Clarification:
We're not moderators of this forum. (Phew!)
You were not called called illiterate by a moderator here. At least, I don't see "Hey, admiralgar: YOU'RE AN ILLILTERATE TWAT THAT CAN'T DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN AN ARSE AND AN ELBOW".
This is not a bebo issue now? Off-topic? tut tut. Naughty. Use the report post function if there is a real issue.

why does it say moderator under your name then?

that comment was directed at me, i am a user of bebo and the mod said that users of bebo were illiterate or semi illiterate, so i see that as a defamatory comment directed at me.

i will be taking this further

Defamation doesn't quite apply for so many reasons... But hey, clearly you're well versed in Irish law; sue the moderator*.

    * It's me! ahah! You seem to be having some difficulty reading and understanding the left-hand side of the forums. This is unfortunate, and may be remedied with a nice user guide I have been pushing Ladybird to publish for some time now. I'll let you know if/when it's released. For now, just know: "The moderator" you referenced is me... Karoma... the letters with the word and wahoyyyy. "Mod: xxxx" means Moderator of...xxx, and only those forums.
i will be taking this further
    I told you how.
