im going to the u.s. in a few weeks and was thinking of waiting to buy a new 80gb ipod there seeing as its €100 cheaper. just wondering is there any compatbility issues over here or not??

The only difference might be warranty - you should check how long the warranty for an Ipod purchased in the US is, in comparison to the European warranty - these can differ.

I dont think they come with chargers anymore

They don't come with chargers afaik and they should have a worldwide warranty just like all other apple products - although the iPod and iSight have a seperate warranty from everything else they sell. If you do buy a charger there are adapter kits that apple sell or you can just stick a plug adapter on it.

There shouldn't be any other problems.
