    Hi Folks,

Got a Lidl camping system a while back for a friend and set it up no problems on the back wall of his house.
Recently though, it has been loosing signal as the screw you tighten to keep the alignment, just isnt up to the job.

My question is...is it possible to change the bracket etc but use the same dish or
should he cut his losses and buy new dish/pole/bracket.

Anyone who has wall mounted the system will know what I mean.

    Thanks in advance

I really don't think that dish is up to the job of permanent placement. He should probably cut his losses (not much) and get a dish and bracket from somewhere like www.corksat.com as they're quite cheap anyway. The LNB, receiver and cables are all fine though so it's not going to cost much for a dish and bracket.

It too small for heavy rain. Get an 80cm dish. Maplin Cork, Dublin. Limerick, Belfast or Satellite.ie or Electroplus or a local dealer.

IIRC Maplin dont sell dishes as a seperate item i.e. one can only buy a full system

They have a shop in Galway too BTW

They sell dishes up to 2.4m separately.

As watty says they sell dishes separately. 60cm & 90cm solid and 85cm tranparent. But any of the mail order companies in the sticky would probably be cheaper.

I notice too that Maplin bumped up the price of the 180cm Fortecstar dish by €40 or so in the new catalogue. They are also selling the 240cm Fortecstar for close on €500 - about double what it should be.

I stand corrected :o Last time (late last year) I was there they only had full systems

Maplins Irish stores tend to be very expensive
