Straight. Then gay. Then bi. Now gay? What??

Ok. Big confuso-session. For a while when I was younger, I considered myself straight. Then I discovered guys. Liked what I saw, and spent a few years preocupying myself there. Then I realised that I'd ignored girls for a while. Became interested, ok, maybe bi. Thing is, now my interest in girls has waned considerably. I don't give girls the time of day as potentials, friends yes. I don't have any interest in sleaping with girls, just guys. That seems clearly gay. Did anyone else have to go through all this to get where they are? I'm generally fine with going though all this, but I have to admit, it does make me seem awefully confused. Friends and family rightfully ask me, "What are you? Gay or bisexual?". Anyone any wise and profound willing to peer over me and tell me what they see? Thanks!

Most gays go through a "am I or am I not" phase and then again some don't ! Being one of the former group, I can understand the way you feel. Be what you are more comfortable with, relax and enjoy, it's all part of life which is confusing in many ways.

I will peer over you but only if you are kneeling:D

Are you anything? Why do you need to be?

Everybody needs to be something in the rainbow of life to feel love and that is the "need"

Yes it says it all. That is why I said "rainbow" We should all be accepting of others' lifestyle

Oh who cares? Just think of them as people. Don't bother with labels.

Well first and foremost, thanks to everyone who replied. Thanks for contributing. :)

I have to say that some things that were mentioned were already fresh in my mind. Let least of all, I'm well aware that it's me who has the best idea of what's going on with me. Ultimately it'll be me who closes the book.

I completely agree though, that sexuality is subject to change. Even for hetrosexuals, there are plenty of aspects of their sexuality that are likely to change throughout their lives, even if that means it is restricted to their opposite sex. This ranges from what you like in the bedroom, to what makes you attracted to people. For some of us however, this change will span both genders.

Gay-bi? Frankly I fear those kind of labels are created with such intense self-observation I don't believe they actually help us any more, to understand the world around us, so I refrain from using them.

I'm gay. It's 'straight' as that. I've been thinking about this for most of this year, and everybody's contribution was the final leg of the journey. I've watched my interest, sexually in women wave in front of my eyes, and straight past them too. Just like the clouds in the summer gone by. :)

Clearly my post was intended to encourage him to realise that he shouldn't care so much. But without its lovely context that exerpt is meaningless.
