Does anyone here use a N80 on Vodafone live? I'm looking for settings etc as they don't seem to be supported on the Vodafone Website.

You can get the settings sent from nokia's web site via text, however all vodafone live will show you is text, no graphics or videos as the n80 is "a unsupported handset" with Vodafone Ireland.

The logic of which escapes me. Supported or not, if they allowed people access to the full live content, they'd make more money.

I agree, especially if Vodafone UK support it!

    Same problem with my N93

Can you get your N93 to stream video?

VF Live is actually working on my N80. I did a master reset tonight to fix a little bug I was experiencing. After powering it back on, I connection to Wap without thinking about changing my settings and what do you know, Vodafone Live shows up.

With pictures etc? That means Vodafone IE will be launching the phone here soon

No it doesn't, it just means that it's similar to handsets that are on their system (n70, n90)

But that's not to say that they're not launching it.

I don't believe so, Vodafone Live in Ireland only displays correctly on their supported/approved handsets, i.e. the ones they sell. It has nothing to do with N70 or any other model being supported as the Live site detects the type of device that is accessing it, unsupported models just get text.

Perhaps they received numerous calls from N80 owners and have decided to add the N80 to their supported list, but I suspect it is more likely they are currently testing it and therefore should be launching it.

Three have it here at the moment under an 'exclusive' deal, however such deals with phone manufacturers normally only last 3 months.

Thank you for contacting us with your query. I have spoken to our
Support Team and they have advised the the N80 will not be released
    as a Vodafone handset.

Of course, that's not to say that the Support Team don't know....

I'm interested in getting an N80 also, but won't if the Vf Live doesn't work right. Though I suppose I could get a 3 SIM as 3 piggyback on the Voda network? (chances of there being many/any 3 transmitters in Donegal would be slim I think)

On a side-note, how well does the wifi element perform?

Is there somewhere on the Vodafone site that shows which handest are supported and which aren't. I'm getting the SE K800 and want to use it on Vodafone prepay. Am I likely to have problems?

Only thing that might help is perhaps when you go to their website, click the Vodafone Live link, and then click Configuration which gives you a dropdown list of supported phones. I don't know how definitive the list is.

For the record, the K800 is not listed. The nearest is the K750.

Maybe email them: care AT vodafone.ie

3 use Vodafone GSM when their UTMS network is not available, you can use it to make/receive calls but you won't be able to get Vodafone Live with a 3 SIM

WiFi works very well for both email and web browsing

So, basically, if I'm not in range of a 3 Tx (with 3 SIM), all I can do is make and receive calls and texts via Vodafone network? No WAP/GPRS access if I'm getting my 3 "signal" from a Vodafone cell?

At least the wifi works well...

Hmm. Back to eBay! I missed out on one that went for £150

Vodafone Live is working fully on my N80. I am guessing they are launching another Series60 phones soon that has the same spec as the N80 or something. I used the TV streaming and was able to download a handful of games also.

Can you send me the details of how you did this?

Glad to hear that the VF Live feature now seems to work on an N80.

    Thanks for the info.

Just with regards to this, I posted on a another thread a few weeks ago that Vodafone Ireland are considering releasing the N80. Just a rumour I heard.
