im just wondering if it is possible to rent 360 games anywhere. I went to my local xtravison the other day and they are sellling but not renting them. Anyone know of anyplace that is doing so as €75 is a lot 2 pay for a game that you may not like, even if it gets good reviews.

Moviestar.ie do game rentals now, but I've seen some reports about the owners being involved in some dodgy business practices previously so I'm not too sure I'd want to give them my credit card details now.

Don't bother. Just finished with the trial myself and I didn't get any games, only movies that were waaay down on my list (not even the movies at the top of my list, and they're not popular movies, but horror).

Talked to the manager of an xtravision recently - he said they were reviewing the situation but at the moment there weren't enough 360s out there to make it worth their while. He thought maybe after Christmas??

They have been reviewing it since it came out..........if they rented out games it might encourage ppl to buy 360's. If they had a few games in some stores to test the waters i dont see how it would cost them much to try. I dont rent out xbox games but a friend does, and he said the local xtravision has basically given up on renting xbox games as they get hardly any new ones in over the last year. Doesnt look like they'll ever rent out 360 games. They could find some shelf space + money if they gave up getting every ps2 game under sun in. As soon as the ps3 is out and hardly any ppl have them, you know well they will have lots of ps3 games.

I think xtravisions reluctance to rent 360 games has more to do with the way the copyrights on the games are written than on the sony stuff that said none of the console manufacturers like the idea of people renting games, hell there was even a story a few months back about pressure being put on the big retail chains to stop trading in games!

I won't hold my breath for rentals of next gen games.
