Ipod Shuffle Trouble

I didn't use my Shuffle for a while and when I plugged it in this evening and opened iTunes it says that it is corrupted. When I try resrore it to factory settings it isn't able to do it saying "An unknown error occurred (1418)"
Also I can't access it by clicking on it in My Computer
Any ideas?

If you haven't used it for a while it might just need to be charged up again (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61127).

You might be able to restore it or reinstall the software once it's recharged.

You could have a go at resetting the iPod
