Monaghan bypass signs misdirecting drivers

    A new bypass in Monaghan Town is causing confusion to motorists already and it has not been officially opened yet.

    Road signs erected at a roundabout on the bypass are directing drivers to Derry via the N12 instead of the N2. The N12 is actually the route to Armagh and on to Belfast. It is beside the N2 on the outskirts of the town.

    Another sign also directs drivers onto the N2 from the Dublin direction but back into Monaghan instead of away from the town.
