Hi, right, been thinking this over for a year, and decided to go for it. Went to talk to a piercer bout it, he asked me which one I wanted Vertical or Horizontal, I said horizontal, and he asked if I was sure. He showed me how they both work on a little rubber mould (highly entertaining! :rolleyes: ) but never specified which if ye know what I mean, although he did say it was down to how you're built in that region too.

So I put this question to you, horizontal or vertical??? (i went for horizontal cuz it's a ring rather than a bar)

there's no right or wrong answer to vertical or horizontal, like the piercer said, it generally depends on the anatomy of the person and then personal preference..
I'd think vertical is more popular, but meh, each to their own and stuff!!

Nearly - they make you take out any and all piercings in case you need to have a c section - also the doctor didn't want to pull it out accidentally.
Can you imagine the hassle of it? da hubby and a nurse trying to get the dam ring open cause it'd been closed so tightly, I think pliers were used at the end.
Just couldn't get it to go back in (neither could my piercer) so I got it done again - it was the only one I lost (though I gained it again)

dont they normally make you take out all your jewlery regardless of it being on your face or anywhere else in case something happens and you have to be rushd for something like a mri scan or something?

i've done this darling. And have gotten 50/50 results. Hence my questioning. I want horizontal cuz it's a ring and ball rather than a bar.

its really down to you.. the most common is vertical as far as i know.. for the symetery(sp?)
and as states before.. it depends on if your "equipt" for the piercing.

well then assuming your suited to it horizontally, then just get it done that way. It really shouldnt matter what's more popular or not.

If you prefer one to the other then where's the questioin coming from?
From what I hear one is more 'practical' than the other.
To me rings looks tacky, and I'd be afraid of condoms getting snagged but that's just my opinion.

rings dont get caught, boyf has a pa, the question was in the first post, if you read it you'd see it.

i had me pa done.. ended up taking it out after about 3 months purly coz i didnt like it that much, and i got it caught it my zipper loads of times.
