    Hi,

I'm having problems installing a Hauppauge 878 TV card, when installing the driver the PC which is running XP Pro tells me that the driver is an unapproved driver or something like that. Anyone have any experience of this type of problem or know a way around it?

Yeah, this appears to be standard on all Hauppauge cards.

Dont' worry about it, just continue on installing it.

IIRC, Hauppauge don't get their drivers officially verified by Microsoft, that's all.

As Tom said, continue and you'll be fine. You see this prompt when a driver has not been digitally signed by Microsoft. This signing indicates that the driver has been through Microsofts tests labs and is unlikely to cause system instability. (!!) You can control what to do when this happens by right-clicking on 'My Computer' and choosing properties. Then hit the 'Hardware' tab and click on Driver Signing. You get to choose what to do when you encounter an unsigned driver, the default setting is to 'warn' this prompts the user for action.

I'm just imagining that Little Britan sketch: "Bill Gates says Nooo"

    OK, I'll try again. Thanks

By the way, I noticed that the FM arial input isn't on this card even though it mentioned it was FM on ebay, does this mean theres no FM radio on this card?

Most probably you've no FM support on the card. check the listings on ebay. I did check the Hauppauge site but can't get a picture of the card.
