Has anyone got a digibox connected to a VOIP phoneline?

I have multiroom so need the phoneline connection, and am considering changing from DSL broadband to a wireless provider.

I was told by the rep that it works.....

    I don't think it works.

I had Sky installed about two weeks ago and I was told that they need a proper landline available. I had to get a "no phone line" installation which cost me an extra €35.

I guess if you had an ATA, it should work, seeing as ATA's support ordinary
phones & that's what the digibox expects to connect to.

That's the setup that I have and it doesn't work with it.

Cartoon Head, were you told that it would not work or was it hooked up?

I was told by my Voip provider and by Sky that it would not work prior to the installation so I went for the no phone line install.

The Sky box does work on a Digiweb Metro VOIP line. But VOIP providers vary in codec/sip/ata provided.
