Problem with throughput

    Hi all,
I'm hoping someone here can help me a bit, maybe it's a bit too advanced for here but any input at all would be much appreciated.

I have 2 WRAP's running Star OS V2.10.0, one set in AP mode and the other on client mode.
The settings on the AP are:
    BSS Channel - 165
    Transmit Rate - 6Mbps
    Link distance - 14miles
    Country Code - IE
    TX power override - 20
The Client is set up to mirror these settings and I have a steady connection (i don't think it has ever dropped it)
The client shows the signal quality to be ~ 17 with the signal at -79dbm, is this too low? How can i increase the quality?

My problem is that the TCP Throughput test comes in at about 1700KB/sec which I assume is 1.7Mb/sec?

Any time I do a ping test, it come back at <1ms which i know is good so why is the throughput test so bad? It was better before I had to replace one of the WRAP's which developed a fault so is it settings or hardware related?
