Is that the name of the place, or a description of the people that are meeting?

What I mean to ask, is there a club/group that meets to discuss telecom related issues?

Nope not my 21st....I'm starting to think this place doesn't even exist, I've asked half of Cork! Apart from the birthday boy who appears to have gone missing...

    This is a joke isn't it! :(

MacCurtain Street is just around the corner from Bridge Street - if you're at the Merchants Quay end of Patrick Street, cross the bridge and keep walking (you'll pass the Boqueria and Vibes & Scribes on the way). The street that runs parallel to the river is MacCurtain Street. I'm not exactly a walking atlas of cork but I don't remember ever seeing a Telecom Club there on nights out. I'll have another look around this afternoon and see if I can spot it though...

The only place in county cork I could find with that street name, which may not be the only one, is way north from the city. I was using map software on my mobile phone, while it has a lot of stuff, it doesnt have every street.

Google revealed 2 people talking about it, one said their 21st is on sept 23 (tee hee wonder who that is :) and the other was posted in 2004 talking about some socialist thing they were doing there.

Maybe contact someone who knows where it is?

There is a phone number, which might still be valid and you can try to track down someone who has been there and knows where it is :)

I'm sure I remember seeing it before. I'll have a look on my way home this evening if I get a chance.

As far as I know it's one of the buildings towards the railway station end. Telecoms club as in old telecom eireann workers club.

My vague memory is that it's very close to leisureland or whatever that's called these days. Roughly across from York st/ the LV.

Yep - its almost opposite York Street - before you get to Leasureland (if you're heading towards the station). The club is actually upstairs as far as I know & from the street, all you see is a brown wooden door with a plaque saying 'Telecom Club'.

Looks like one of those places where you'd knock on the door and a hatch opens asking for the password  ...but I'm sure its not...
