Just received the Sherdog newsletter there, and they claim Dana White has told them that there will be FOUR events in England next year. One in the Spring apparently and then 3 more.

No dates or venues yet, but jaysus, it's something to look forward to.

    :D

Alas, Dana saying something and it happening are sometimes very different. He seems to talk about what he would like to happen in absolutes, and then can look a little silly.

Still though, if they did do 4 shows i could deffo get to a minimum of one of them. :)

It would be great if that happens but considering it's Dana White talking I'll believe it when I see it

This is very likely to happen, I had a very minor involvement in the UFC's first UK show (but I didn't go cuz of a bird, how thick am I?) and know, more or less, why they haven't been back. They have made some quality contacts in the UK since then and work has already started for the UK shows.

UFC on Bravo is also extremely popular right now and almost everyone in the UK can tell you a little about MMA.

I do believe they will hold an event in Europe this year but I'm not going to get my hopes up for 4 as Dana wants us to believe.

UFC in the UK puts an Irish Fighter (or a fighter based in Ireland) one step closer to fighting in a UFC cage in front of 1000s. So I hope it goes ahead.

True. In that case I better get my butt in gear. I want to beat up one of those TUF guys.
