Netopia 2247NWG - Query

    All,

I have been given a Netopia 2247NWG from work. They have changed providers and were gonna throw this out. So I said thank you very much. :)

I am currently with UTV and have a Belkin Wired Router. I would like to use the Netopia but cannot as it is branded by Eircom, with their settings as default etc. :(

The Query: Is there anyway I can Flash the settings on the Netopia so that I can use it with my UTV?

I have hit the factory reset and upgraded the firmware from 7.6r3 to 7.6r4 - still branded with Eircom.

    Any help or suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks

    Joxer

You don't need to flash anything. All the settings are the same for UTV as they are for Eircom. It's the same broadband.
The only thing you'll need to do is change the username and password to your UTV ones and you're in. Ignore the Eircom branding.
I'm currently using an Eircom Netopia 3347NWG on BT and on UTV before that.

No, you can't use an ADSL router as a router on a non-ADSL broadband connection.
