    i know there is a question on this prctically every day but i'm starting a protein supplement soon, do fairly serious training, and starting into winter weights now. what the best supplement in your opinion, "Pro-MAX" was recomended to me....

    You might get a better response in the Fitness board (under Rec), or you could trawl the endless threads already over there. Personally I take Optimum Nutrition bought from EasyGainer here on boards.

    yet more evidence of the power of advertising :D

    Once it's a decent whey protein it's not too important which brand you go with, maximuscle however is a rip off and going by promax's AA profile i can't see any reason why 2lbs of it costs as much as 5lb of optimum nutrition, reflex whey or nutrition x (all good brands imo)

    What criteria are you looking to describe "best". Cost, flavour, mixability. Do you want pure protein or one with other additives, i.e. you mention creatine but do you want other stuff in there. You know red meat has a fair bit of creatine too so you might want to give that a miss too.
