I don't see anything wrong with Glen's original post. What else is a the poker tournaments and events sub forum for? He's just letting us know that Silks are offering a decent tournament every Tuesday, what's wrong with that?

It's on a Wednesday for a start!!

This was an old post by Glen that got dragged up by an unknown poster. People are naturally suspicious of this sort of thing and in the past they've been right to be fair.

Glen's post outlining the structure didn't conform to the method set out by the mods and was deleted (fair enough imho).

However he didn't do a whole lot else wrong and hasn't repeated the offence as far as I can see and talk of banning is premature for a first offence.

A lot of posters from casinos around town don't conform in their posts either but they have a little track record on the board and in fairness respond to queries quickly so get a little leeway.

Glen's mistake is not posting in the required format from the outset and not following up terribly quickly on queries. Neither are hanging offences and if he was more in touch with the board this wouldn't even be an issue. Dukebox did and does similar things and also had a proposed banning mentioned and then stopped posting and came back with the Jackpot and was similarily non conformist but the info was available and people posted to cover the stuff he missed as a newbie and obvious non regular forum reader!! lol

People could cut Glen similar slack or they could support their own employers and propose bannings in an effort to stop players hearing about value games about town.

As for responding to the unknown persons request if you are genuine search the forum as all your questions have been answered twice already. If you are a shill well I'm not going to advertise your product for you (not unless you are going to pay me to!!)

You've stepped into a bigger issue about people advertising their games in an underhand manner on the boards generally by pretending they are not affiliated with particular companies and asking "questions" as a way of advertising their wares. Since your willing to blind date meet the entire board I'll take you at your word!!!

By the way when I signed up in Silks I didn't get a free chip for betting. When I signed up in the Fitz many moons ago I bet my free chip on black and my friend bet on red and 0 came up and in the SE I just used the free chip to pay a tournie reg but they no longer allow this.

I'm just trying to make sure the charter is followed. I have no problem with SkinnyDoogan's post. I have more of a problem with people's sneaky replys making suggestions. We need better evidence before putting people off posting here for no reason.

I have no idea who this skinny doogan is and want to assure you all that this post was not orchestrated by myself or anyone else at Silks.
Appologies for my slow responses to any queries being made I will endeaver to be more prompt in the future.
Also I'm pleased to let you know that the guarantee in place will continue for Wednesdays and I will be bringing in more guarantees for other tournaments starting in october.
