Is there a way to keep my 5 years no claim bonus on motor insurance when I go to America for three years? My insurance company told me that my no claim bonus expires after two years if I do not use it to insure a car in Ireland.

I'm afraid afaik the insurance industry standard is 2 years. Cannot see a way around it unless you insure the car for at least another year or cut your trip to America back to 2 years.
